MCP overview

The Model Context Protocol connects your AI client to Coyra’s project capabilities. Through that connection, your AI can retrieve a project map and the context a piece of work needs, record what the work changed, and keep the project’s understanding current.

Your client interprets meaning and carries out the work. Coyra maintains state integrity, permissions, and the record of changes.

Connection model

Each compatible client connects with its own authorised access to Coyra. Connections share project state, so changing clients does not require rebuilding the project’s understanding.

One named human user may hold several tokens, one per AI client. Those connections belong to that user; additional tokens do not represent additional people.

Authentication setup

Connect with a single server URL. Your client registers itself and opens a browser to authorise access through your Coyra account. Access is scoped by project membership, short-lived with automatic renewal, revocable, and logged.

Every change is attributed to you and to the client that made it.

MCP configuration

  1. Sign in and find your project in the project list.
  2. Open the project’s Connect an AI client page.
  3. Add the server URL to your client as a remote MCP server.
  4. Approve the connection in your browser.
  5. Tell your agent which project to work in. It can also call whoami to list your projects.

Setup details in your client may differ; use its supported remote MCP connection flow.
